Styles of Parenting: Since we found out in October that I'm pregnant, I've been introduced to a new culture...the mom culture. Fresh in the media right now is the topic of "Mom Wars" where moms vehemently share their opinions regarding their parenting methods and tear down those who disagree.
Here are two posts that summarize my feelings very well. I enjoyed them particularly because they're both pretty sobering. They both make me think little of my efforts and much of God's grace. They both make me remember that the world does not revolve around me (How unfortunate I needed reminding of that).

"Where is the Mommy War for the Motherless Child"

The bottom line is, if you are a mother and are reading this post, I believe with all my heart that you've given it all you've got. I also believe, perhaps more importantly, that you have needed, need, and will need God's grace for every little single moment and can do nothing apart from Him. I know that's what I'm believing for myself today. Lord help us all, right? ;)
