Y'all I'm just going to confess up front. There is a ridiculous amount of pictures in this post. I just couldn't delete many as it was our son's first visit to the ocean and such a retreat for Nathan and me. We went to the beach last week from Friday through Tuesday! It was everything I wanted it to be. I felt so blessed to get to spend five days on vacation my men. Joshua loved the beach (this was his first time)! He played hard and slept hard. For us, that equals success.
We went to Panama City and stayed in a friends condo, which could not have been more perfect for us. We were close to the water, close to the grocery story (something you appreciate with a toddler), and had every other convenience with zero responsibility. And we definitely consider going towards the end of September again.
We decided to make the most of our beach time so we left early in the morning so we could hit the beach just after Joshua's nap.
This was the first time Nathan and I had seen the beach in a while. :)
His first time to see the ocean...magical.
The little sand pool was a winner. We "struck oil" and were able to play much longer then had we not.
It's tough having to leave.
It rained almost all day Sunday so we decided to spend the day at Gulf World, which also was a winner. We saw a great Sea Lion and Dolphin show. And some of the dolphins had BABIES! Among the great things about that place is the fact that you pay for a day pass and can come and go as you please until the park closes at 5:00. So we could left for Joshua's nap and came back for the afternoon.
